About the technology
What you should know about Power Plate
Originally developed for astronauts’ training, Power Plate is now the leading vibration-based exercise technology in over 100 countries. A whole-body workout in just 25–30 minutes on a medically certified platform — without heavy weights.
The technology — how it works
The secret is in acceleration. In traditional training you add load with weights — the Power Plate achieves the same effect through the platform’s rapid vibration instead, so your muscles work intensely without heavy weights.
The platform moves in several directions. The up-and-down movement raises your muscle tone, while the side-to-side and front-to-back motion improves your balance and coordination. Depending on the setting, the plate can vibrate up to 50 times per second.
These vibrations trigger an involuntary muscle reflex: your muscles contract and release several times every second. That is how a full-body workout becomes possible in just 25–30 minutes — and even 2–3 sessions a week deliver visible, fast results.
Power Plate machines are certified medical devices. They can even be used as part of a medical rehabilitation programme.

What is it good for?
Body shaping
- Your muscles contract 25–50 times per second during a session
- Just standing on the plate at 30 Hz for 30 seconds triggers around 900 contractions
- Maximum calorie burn in a fraction of the time compared to traditional training
- Your whole body becomes firmer and more toned
Calorie burning
- Vibration training is fundamentally strength training with an excellent afterburn effect
- You keep burning calories while you rest, building and recovering your muscles at once
- Can exceed the calories burned during cardio such as running or cycling
- A safe, effective option if you are wary of lifting weights or fear injury
A better shape & less cellulite
- Your figure changes as your whole body tones up
- The massage effect helps against cellulite and stimulates lymphatic circulation
- Flushes toxins deposited in the cells — genuinely effective against the orange-peel look
- Standard stretching on the plate brings an immediate boost in flexibility
Joint-friendly strength training
- An effective strength workout that does not strain your joints
- Burns calories at a maximum level without causing injury
- Best results come when you pair the training with a suitable diet
- Up to 98% of muscle fibres work at once, versus around 60% with conventional gym equipment
Health & wellbeing
- Improves the absorption of minerals in the body
- Enhances vascular elasticity and supports circulation
- Positively affects cognitive performance — memory and concentration
- Helps with stress reduction and releasing everyday tension

- In 2012 Power Plate Hungary won “Most Innovative Fitness Device” at the Fitbalance Award gala
Tennis champion Rafael Nadal includes the Power Plate in his warm-up routine — a vibrating platform that helps muscles contract at high speeds, supporting blood circulation, range of motion, muscle strength, pain relief and recovery.
